ZINFANDEL ADVOCATES & PRODUCERS ELECTS NEW BOARD MEMBERS AND OFFICERS

Rough & Ready CA July 8, 2003----Zinfandel Advocates & Producers announced its new Board members and officers at its annual meeting in Napa Valley today: the incoming Board President for 2003-2004 is Donn Reisen of Ridge Vineyards; Vice-President is Joel Peterson of Ravenswood; Treasurer is Richard Flores (an Advocate) and Secretary is Justin Boeger of Boeger Winery.

In his remarks to the group, Reisen reminisced about ZAP's origins and growth---from 20 members 12 years ago to 300 today, with 1,100 member-volunteers eager to help stage ZAP's events.

A new Board of Directors was also announced at the meeting, who will serve a term from July 2003 to June 2004. The Board consists of: Doug Beckett (Peachy Canyon) and Nancy Greenough (Saucelito Canyon), representing the Central Coast; Bettyann Spenker (Spenker Winery) representing the Central Valley; Kent Rosenblum (Rosenblum Cellars) representing the Greater Bay Area; Katie Quinn (Amador Foothill Winery) representing the Sierra Foothills; Sam Gabrielli (Gabrielli Winery) representing Mendocino & Lake Counties; Robert Biale (Robert Biale Vineyards), Julie Johnson (Tres Sabores) and Duane Dappen (D-Cubed Cellars) representing Napa; Grady Wann (Quivira Vineyards) and Phyllis Zouzounis (Mazzocco and Deux Amis) representing Northern Sonoma. There are also four at-large Board members: Erin Cline (Trinitas Cellars), Richard Flores (Thea Wine Company), Frank Ortega and Bernie Scarinzi.
