ZINFANDEL ADVOCATES & PRODUCERS WILL VISIT THE EAST COAST IN APRIL AND MAY

Rough & Ready, California, January 2003----Zinfandel Advocates & Producers has organized a visit to the East Coast this spring. Forty-five wineries will be pouring their wines for the public and the wine trade in Washington D.C., Boston and New York City. Any profits from these events will support the ongoing research at the Heritage Vineyard, a collection of old-vine Zinfandels maintained by the University of California, Davis. Wednesday, April 23, Washington D.C., 21st Annual Smithsonian Craft Show Celebration and Gala Preview Night Party with Zinfandels and ZAP member wineries. Tickets available from 202/357-2700 or www.si.edu or www.zinfandel.org. No tickets will be available at the door.

Thursday, April 24, Washington D.C., Marriott Metro Hotel, 775 12th Street NW (www.marriott.com) 3:00-5:00 p.m., trade tasting; 6:00-8:00 p.m. public tasting. Tickets: $40 public $30 ZAP members, available from www.zinfandel.org or 530/274-4900. No trade tickets will be available at the door; a limited number of tickets for the public will be available at the door.

Tuesday, April 29, Boston, Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street, www.bcaonline.org 3:00-5:00 p.m., trade tasting; 6:00-8:00 p.m., public tasting. Tickets: $55 public $45 ZAP members, available from www.zinfandel.org or 530/274-4900. No trade tickets will be available at the door; a limited number of tickets for the public will be available at the door.

Thursday, May 1, New York City, Toy Center Building, 200 5th Club, 200 Fifth Avenue (between 23rd & 24th Streets, www.200fifth.com) 3:00-5:00 p.m., trade tasting; 6:00-8:00 p.m., public tasting Tickets: $40, available from www.zinfandel.org or 530/274-4900. No trade tickets will be available at the door; a limited number of tickets for the public will be available at the door.
