ZAP SPONSORS FIRST 'ZINPOSIUM'
Spring 2002--- On June 15 in Rohnert Park ZAP sponsors the first 'Zinposium' 2002: The Conference on American Zinfandel, a series of panel discussions and tastings with a luncheon designed by Michael Chiarello, based at the Doubletree Hotel (Rohnert Park). A banquet dinner and dance at the Kendall-Jackson Wine Center in Fulton will follow the Conference. Sessions run from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. The evening festivities run from approximately 6:30 until 10:00 p.m..
An 'early bird package" with a ticket each for the Conference and banquet dinner/dance is $215.00 when purchased through the ZAP office before March 14, 2002. This price changes to $245.00 on May 24. Individual ZAP member prices: for the Conference, $199.00; for the banquet, $85.00. Non-member prices: for the Conference, $235.00; for the banquet, $90.00. ZAP will host a winemaker dinner at Earth & Ocean in Seattle on April 29, 2002 and a public tasting at Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle on April 30. The group will host a dinner at the Benson Hotel in Portland on May 1 and a public tasting at the Cascade Crescent Banquet Center in Portland on May 2. In 2001 ZAP traveled to Austin, Scottsdale and Las Vegas and also traveled to Europe for the first time, visiting London, Amsterdam and Dusseldorf.
