The Stellenbosch terrior produces an interesting version of this grape variety, adding its unique terroir identity to the deep color and prominent fruity character. The 15 year old vineyards bear fruit for our cellarmaster to craft the finest wine with 80% new oak barrels. This wine entices with dark chocolate and stewed pear aromas against a slightly peppery backdrop. The palate delivers a medley of intense dried-fruit flavours, for which this cultivar is well known.
