Winemaker Tasting Notes:	This is a classic Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel full of blackberry, jam and brilliant fruit. The Voigt family planted vines on their home ranch in the same area of a late-19th century vineyard, on steeply terraced ground. Head pruned, they have the look and feel of age-old Zin. And, the taste…ripe blackberries dominate the aromas and flavors, followed by classic Dry Creek jammy grape and toasted oak. Fine, ripe tannins and well-modulated oak flavors complement the fruit and confer good balance. The wine finishes as it starts, with red plums, black cherries and smooth oak. In addition to growing stunning Zinfandel at their home ranch, Al and Judy Voigt have been instrumental in bringing art to public areas in Sonoma County.
