This is a wine of the vineyard, this small 2 acre parcel with a southwestern exposition, and a step rocky incline produces small intense berries that allow us to feature incredible color, complexity and richness.
This is not your typical zin that is over-ripe, flabby, port like - this is a big, long aging, super wine with pedigree wine making and very high level of quality control and selection.
Nose: Dark intense Plum skins, Asian plum, dark cherry, spices, underbrush, crushed rock, french vanilla and hints of oak... a long rocky, stoney, rich, velvety mouthfeel with good acidity and a huge structure. The goal is to make a wine that people taste and enjoy... wither you like ZIN or not.. I love tasting this on Non-Zin fans and winning them over... the quality is not to be questioned... its all about personal preference and I love to see people prefer Beekeeper.
