Luke Sykora - Wine & Spirits Magazine's Associate Editor
Based in San Francisco, Luke Sykora is an associate editor at Wine & Spirits Magazine. His primary focus is wines from the United States, and he runs the magazine's blind tasting panels for all domestic wines.
Lynne Char Bennett - San Francisco Chronicle
Lynne Char Bennett is a staff writer and the test kitchen director for the San Francisco Chronicle’s Food & Wine department, which has won multiple James Beard Foundation Awards for best food section among largest circulation — most recently in 2011 for best food coverage in the nation in a general interest publication. Bennett has also won an individual James Beard Foundation Award. She writes the “Pairings” column, for which she creates recipes with wine recommendations, and contributes as well to The Chronicle’s coverage of restaurants, chefs, wine and spirits and overall San Francisco Bay area culinary scene.
Charles Olken - Connoisseur’s Guide to California Wine
Charles Olken is the Publisher/Editor of Connoisseurs’ Guide To California Wine, which he founded in 1974 to focus specifically on California, since at the time no one was serving the needs of California wine consumers and collectors like himself. Mr. Olken is also co-author of the CONNOISSEURS' HANDBOOK of CALIFORNIA WINES, a wine columnist in newspapers in California and a frequent judge at international wine competitions.
Randy Caparoso - Sommelier Journal
Randy Caparoso is an award winning wine journalist who lives in Lodi, California. He is the Bottom Line Editor of Sommelier Journal, and currently blogs and does social media work for Lodi Winegrape Commission’s lodiwine.com. He also pens wine columns for San Joaquin Magazine and Lodi News-Sentinel, and in the past has bylined a biweekly wine column for his hometown newspaper (The Honolulu Advertiser, 1981 to 2002).
Frank Thorsberg - KTVU television producer and wine blogger
Frank Thorsberg has written the "Wine Country Insider" blog for KTVU-TV since 2009. He has lived in the SF Bay area for nearly 30 years, working in journalism, public relations, marketing and sales. He is a lifelong wine collector, with a penchant for zinfandel. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Frank competed in regional barbecue contests and also covered the world-famous Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.
