THE ZINFANDEL CHRONICLES
Started in 2011 in honor of ZAP's 20th anniversary, the Zinfandel Chronicles compiles a personalized anthology of all things Zinfandel.
Topics include:
- Tranformation Creates New Tradition providing an insight into the history of Zinfandel.
- History for Tomorrow uncovers the passion behind ZAP.
- Preserving Heritage; Promoting Excellence reveals exciting advances in science.
- Vineyards with Heritage presents some of the pioneers in Zinfandel.
U.C. DAVIS HERITAGE VINEYARD PROJECT
Established to replicate the best aspects of Zinfandel through research and vine replication.
ZINFANDEL EXPORT PROGRAM
ZAP’s Export Program advances our mission by promoting California Zinfandel and its unique history. Participation at these events help gain international recognition for Zinfandel as California’s Heritage Wine through ground-breaking and established activities. The purpose is also to educate trade and consumers and provide opportunities to talk about and experience Zinfandel and to generate media attention and awareness.
REGIONAL ZINFANDEL EDUCATION and COLLABORATION PROGRAM
Provides educational resources about Zinfandel in the form of regional tasting events and partner collaborations. Also includes the Zinfandel Resource Guide and Aroma Wheel, providing tools for better appreciation of Zinfandel.
UNIVERSITY OF ZIN CRUISES
Designed to offer intensive Zinfandel education and international wine awareness in a recreational setting.
DONN P. REISEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Supporting students pursuing a further education in the wine industry. The scholarship fund was established in memory of a distinguished wine industry executive who was one of ZAP's founders and long-time leaders.
