A charming Art Nouveau décor, hard wood floors and curved ceiling sets the stage for Blue Jeans. Guests are greeted with a sample of the 2001 Heritage Vineyard Zinfandel produced by Joel Peterson of Ravenswood. The line-up of silent and live auction lots will include special surprises and a wide range of tempting Zinfandels. Mix and mingle with winemakers and principals for a lively evening of great food and wine sure to capture the true essence of Zinfandel’s magic.

Orchid centerpieces generously donated by the Pacific Orchid Exposition through the generous contribution from McLellan Botanicals Taisuco America.

Can I purchase tickets at the door?

No. Tickets to this event are sold by advance purchase through the Fort Mason Box Office.

What is it?

A benefit for the Zinfandel Heritage Projects— Preserving Zinfandel for the Future! Forty-two winemakers and principals will host dinner tables. The evening is a true salute to Zinfandel that includes a tasting, silent auction, multi-course dinner and live auction. In short, it’s a long line-up of delicious cuisine and wine—not to mention your personal connection to the hosting winemakers.

What is the dinner menu?

Appetizers followed by a gourmet multi-course dinner, catered by McCall Associates.

Can I reserve an entire table?

Yes, for up to eight people through the Fort Mason Box Office. VIP tickets available through the ZAP office, 530-274-4900.

Can I reserve a particular winery host to sit at my table?

No. All table seating will be done by lottery. The winery and table locations will be randomly assigned. Participating wineries are identified on the winery list in this Information Guide.

How do I dress for the event?

Wear anything from blue jeans to tuxedo and gowns or any combination. ZAP encourages festive attire! Our new location features an Art Nouveau décor.

Is there a silent and live auction?

Yes and yes. You will have a chance to bid on the silent auction lots during the reception. Live lots will have a special “regional” winery flare. Dave Reynolds will conduct the auction.

How many live auction lots?

Approximately 15 live auction lots.

Will I be able to charge my auction purchases?

Yes, with a Visa or Mastercard.

Where can I park?

Valet parking will be offered (prices pending). How do I get there?

From the South Bay: Take the 101 North to the Fell/Mission Street Exit. Turn right off the exit, and left onto Van Ness Avenue. Continue up Van Ness Avenue several blocks to Sutter Street. The Regency Center is located on the northeast corner of Van Ness & Sutter.

From the North Bay: From the Golden Gate Bridge, take the Lombard Street exit. Continue up Lombard Street to Van Ness Avenue. Take a right turn onto Van Ness Avenue. Continue up Van Ness several blocks to Sutter Street.

From the East Bay: From the Bay Bridge, take Highway 80 onto the 101 Freeway North. Take the Fell/Mission Street Exit. Turn right off the exit, and left onto Van Ness Avenue. Continue up Van Ness Avenue several blocks to Sutter Street.
